Dia 60 / Day 60 - August 31/2012

We drove to Belfast, which is North of Ireland and part of England. The only reason you can tell the difference is because the road sign are no longer in Irish and the speed limit is back to miles! We drove all the way to Giants Causeway, what a beautiful place!  We walked around while listening to the audio guide.  Later we went to the rope bridge, it is 30 feet high above the sea.

We later headed back south to Ireland and spend the night in a hostel in Donegal.

Dia 57 / Day 57 - August 28/2012

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been 20 days since we picked up the car to travel around Great Britain, what a trip and what a beautiful region.  Scotland is a wonderful area, pretty quiet and the landscape is nothing but spectacular.  The car we got was a very small car, a Fiat 500, we go it with 2,406 miles and we brought it back with 4,735 miles! We slept twice in hostels, once in Bristol and the other one is Glasgow, theose are cheap places to stay if you are alone or in a season where camping is not possible, but nothing like camping, the tranquility, being close to nature and being able to prepare your own food is great….. We became members of “The Camping and Caravaning Club”, which is a club that has campsites across the island.  Every night we got to one of their campgrounds, set up our tent, cooked our food and we had the comfort of having washrooms, showers and even laundry!  It was a great experince.

We know many of you might wonder if it was too cold, and the answer is YES! There were nights when the temperature exceeded our sleeping bags, only rated for 11C; but it was worth it.  Every night we wore several layers of cloths and after a long day of walking, sleeping was not an issue.  The coldest nights were in front of the ocean, specially the campground where we could see the dolphins, but with that incentive of seeing them in the morning and at night, we slept without a problem.

We spent the day in Marisol’s house updating the blog after our trip around Great Britain.  At night we cooked dinner for Marisol and Mus.

Dia 55 / Day 55 - August 26/2012

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We headed to Brighton in the morning. On the way we stopped at Poole and took a small boat to go around the harbor and the small islands… This is the second largest natural harbor (or at least what they said in the tour) after Sydney, Australia!

We got to Brighton later in the afternoon and walk on the harbor and on the pier. What a crazy and busy place!
