Salimos del camping temprano
en la mañana rumbo a Auckland para ultimar unos detalles en el banco.
En la tarde teniamos varias
citar para mostrar a “Lucy” a clientes potenciales. Nos encontramos con Missy y su amiga (un par de niñas
Alemanas) a las 4:00pm en el hostal donde se estaban quedando; le dieron una
mirada a la camioneta y decidieron que la querian llevar a una inspección. Fuimos al taller que ellas escogieron y
pusimos a “Lucy” en una rigurosa inspeccion mecanica. Después de esperar mas de una hora y teniendo que cancelar y
posponer otras citas, el mecanico les dijo que “Lucy” recibia un puntaje de 9
entre 10. Les dijo que era una de
las mejores que había visto para su edad (recordemos que tiene solo 23 añitos!). Después de esos buenos comentarios
Missy y su amiga no dudaron en decirnos que compraban a “Lucy”. Acordamos que se las entragabamos el Sábado o Domingo porque todavía nos faltaban algunos lugares por visitar en la
Isla Norte.
Intercambiamos números de
telefono y salimos para el Cabo Reinga.
Ese dia llegamos a Whangarei
y dormimos en un camping gratis al lado del mar.

We left the campground early
in the morning and went to Auckland to sort out a couple of final details in
the bank.
In the afternoon we had a
couple of appointments to show “Lucy” to potential customers. We met with Missy and her friend (a
couple of German girls) at 4:00pm at their backpackers; they took a quick look
at the car and decided they liked it but wanted to take her for an
inspection. We drove to a garage
they chose and put “Lucy” through a mechanical inspection. After waiting for more than one hour
and having to cancel and postpone other appointments, the mechanic told them
that “Lucy” was a 9 out of 10. He
said it was one of the best he had seen for her age (let’s remember she is only
23 years old!). After such a good
comments Missy and her friend did not hesitate to give us the okay to purchase
“Lucy”. The agreement was that we
would hand her over on Saturday or Sunday as we still had a few places to see
in the North Island.
We exchanged details and we
left for Cape Reinga.
That day we made it to
Whangarei and slept in a free campground by the beach.
