Dia 266 / Day 266 - March 25/2013

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the morning we went to town to send a small parcel to Canada with some things we have bought.  When we arrived they inspected the items to detemine which type of mail can be used, because wood items can only be sent by regular mail.  The process to send something by mail from India is very complex, it has to be packed in a certain way.  The box is then wrapped in cotton fabric and stitched in four sides.  The address is written on the fabric and filling the form takes forever, they ask for lots of information.  Finally they take a photocopy of your passport… nothing to do in India without a photocopy of your passport.  After waiting for around 45 minutes they gave us the receipt and we left.

We went back to the hotel, picked our bags and went to the bus station to take the bus to Jaipur.  It was a good bus ride, we took possession of the back seats, put our backpacks and we had a nap.  We arrived at the bus station in Jaipur and we met Pashad, a Tuk Tuk driver that offered to take us to search for a place to stay.  He took us to a few places but they were not clean, finally we found a hotel at a good price and clean.  Pashas offered to take us around the city to see some places, after negotiating the price he told us that he will pick us up at 9:00am.

The rest of the day we spent it at the hotel and went to sleep early.
