Hoy estuvimos toda la mañana en la playa. Estuvimos ayudandoles a los pescadores
a sacar el chichorro… la pesca no estuvo muy buena que digamos, todo fue pez
pequeño y un par de rayas que las devolvieron al mar. Los pescadores estaban bastantes tristes con lo que sacaron.
Nuestro amigo del Tuk Tuk, Harshana, nos invito a
almorzar. Su familia estaba
reunida conmemorando el septimo dia de la muerte de la abuela. Como tradicion Budista, el septimo dia
la familia prepara comida para compartir con todo el mundo. Harshana nos invito a ser parte del
almuerzo y nos deleitamos comiendo comida tipica de Sri Lanka. Nos toco ver las fotos de la velacion y el entierro...
Por la tarde estuvimos disfrutando de la playa.

Today we spent the morning on the beach. We helped the local fishermen to pull a
net from the sea… fishing was not too good, they only got small fish and a
couple of stingrays that went back to the sea. All the fishermen were very upset with the catch.
Our Tuk Tuk friend, Harshana, invited us for lunch. His family was on the seventh day of
grieving of their grandma’s death.
As it is tradition in Buddhist religion, on the seventh day the family
prepares food to share with everybody.
Harshana invited us to be part of this lunch and we enjoyed very good
traditional Sri Lankan food.
In the afternoon we enjoyed the beach.
