Dia 7 / Day 7 - July 9/2012

Jürgen and Silvana suggested that we should visit Drachenfels (dragon's mountain), which is located in a Konigswinter.  On July 9 we took the metro and got to Konigswinter.  This is a small town located around 45 minutes from Bonn via tram.  The idea is to go up the mountain where one can see the whole valley.  There are several ways to make it up to the top, one is to use the tram, the other one is to rent a donkey and the lat one is to make it by foot.  With the reduced budget, we decided to exercise and do it on foot.

We started going up the hill and after 1 and a half hours we made it to the top.......the view is breathtaking.  We could see the whole valley, with the Rhein river and all the plantations.

On the way up we found a castle called Schools Drachenburg.  This castle was restored after the second world war.

We came back from Konigswinter to Bonn by boat, courtesy of Jürgen and Silvana, they had some tickets and gave them to us.  The view from the Rhein river is amazing.
