Amritsar era la ultima parada en la India, desafortunadamente no hemos podido encontrar tiquetes de tren para llegar a la frontera con Nepal, vamos a tomar un tren hasta Chandigarh y tratar de comprar tiquetes alla.
En la mañana salimos de Amritsar y despues de 4 horas de viaje llegamos a Chandigarh. En la estacion tratamos de comprar tiquetes para llegar a Nepal pero todo esta vendido, ni siquiera con la quota de turista. Decidimos quedarnos en Chandigarh hasta mañana y tomar un bus a New Delhi y ver que se hace.
En la tarde hicimos un tour por la ciudad. Chandigarh es una ciudad relativamnete nueva y super organizada. Fue contriuda como una cuadricula y todas las calles son señalizadas y la gente respeta los semaforos y las señales de transito. Tambien hay aceras y espacio para peatones… increible! En el tour visitamos varios de los jardines que tiene la ciudad, incluyendo el jardin de las rocas, que es muy popular y es construido con materiales reciclados. Tambien estuvimos en el lago y caminamos un rato por la zona comercial.

Amritsar was supposed to be the last stop in India, unfortunately we have not been able to find train tickets to get to the border with Nepal. We are going to take a train to Chandigarh and try to get tickets for Nepal there.
We left Amritsar in the morning and after 4 hours by train we reached Chandigarh. At the train station we tried to buy tickets to go to Nepal but everything is sold out, not even with the tourist quota we were able to get tickets. We have decided to stay in Chandigarh until tomorrow and take a bus to New Delhi to see what we can do.
In the afternoon we took a bus tour around the city. Chandigarh is a relatively new city and very well organized. It was designed by an architect and it is divided in perfect squares. The city streets have traffic lights and signals. There are sidewalks and spaces for pedestrians… incredible! During the tour we visited some of the city gardens including a famous one called the Rock Garden which is made with recycled materials. We also went to the lake and walked around the commercial area.

Realmente esta ciudad si no parece que fuera en la India, todo esta muy organizado. El jardin de rocas se ve muy chevere y original.
ReplyDeleteYo creo que ustedes con esta montadera en bus por tantas horas ya deben tener las nalgas cuadradas, y han aprendido a tener mucha paciencia y a "tomarla suave"....
