El 6 de septiembre alquilamos un par de motos y
recorrimos Panglao con Jorge. Entramos a la cueva Hinagdanan, una hermosa
formación con agua cristalina en el interior. También estuvimos visitando un
area de manglares y unas playas. En la tarde fuimos a preguntar sobre el buceo
en Bohol. Hay muchas escuelas de buceo en Alona Beach, pero el precio es el
mismo. Fuimos a Sea Explorers porque hemos estado buceando con ellos, pero el
servicio fue terrible, así que decidimos buscar otra escuela. Decidimos bucear
con la escuela de buceo Bohol Divers Club en Balicasag, una isla a 20 minutos
de Bohol, que también es conocida por su belleza natural. Esta área está
protegida y hay un tope para la cantidad de buzos que puede visitar
diariamente. Reservamos para ir a bucear el 8 de septiembre.
El 7 de septiembre alquilamos una moto y fuimos
otra vez a la cueva para tomar más fotos.
Fuimos a bucear el 8 de septiembre; ¡Balicasag
también le hace justicia a todo la publicidad que tiene! Hermoso sitio de
buceo, gran visibilidad, buena vida marina y excelentes formaciones de coral.
Es difícil decir si es mejor que la isla Apo, pero definitivamente es muy
bonito. También habían muchas tortugas!
El 9 de septiembre alquilamos una moto y fuimos
a dar una vuelta por la isla de Bohol. Esta es una isla muy grande y no
podremos recorrerla completa, pero queremos visitar algunos lugares. La primera
parada fue el Santuario filipino de los Tarsiers, donde pudimos ver los
pequeños tarsiers en su hábitat. Este es un santuario donde los tarsiers están
protegidos pero viven libremente. Este tipo de tarsier es endémico de la isla de
Bohol. Mire las fotos, ¡son unas cositas hermosas! Vale la pena mencionar que
en el camino nos toco un aguacero y nos mojamos por completo, incluso tuvimos
que parar un rato porque era difícil manejar la moto con la lluvia.
Luego fuimos a Habitat Bohol, también conocido
como el Centro de Conservación de mariposas. Aquí aprendimos sobre los
diferentes tipos de mariposas endémicas de Bohol y el programa que tienen para
conservarlas.
Nuestra última parada del día fueron los
Chocolate Hills. Estas hermosas formaciones rocosas están cubiertas por
vegetación que durante las épocas de sequía son de color chocolate, por lo
tanto, su nombre. Hay 1268 montañas en un área que comprende las ciudades de
Carmen, Batuan y Sagbayan.
Después de recorrer 156 kilómetros alrededor de
la isla de Bohol, regresamos al hotel rendidos y listos para dormir.

On September 6 we rented a couple of motorcycles
and went around Panglao with Jorge.
We stopped at the Hinagdanan cave, a beautiful formation with crystal
clear water pond inside… just amazing!
We then headed to the mangrove and beach areas. In the late afternoon we went to
inquire about diving on Bohol.
There are lots of diving shops in Alona Beach but the price is the
same. We went to Sea Explorers as
we have been diving with them but the service was terrible so we decided to
look for another dive shop. We
decided to go diving with Bohol Divers Club dive shop in Balicasag, an island
20 minutes from Bohol, which is also known for its natural beauty. This area is protected and there is a
cap to the number of divers that can visit daily. We are booked for September 8.
On September 7 we rented a motorcycle and went
to the cave again to take more pictures.
We went diving on September 8; it was another
dive site that lived up to the hype!
Beautiful dive site, great visibility, nice marine life and great coral
formations. It is hard to say if
it is better than Apo Island, but it is definitely very good. There were lots of turtles!
On September 9 we rented a motorcycle and went
for a drive around the island of Bohol.
This is a big island so we will not cover much, but we want to visit a
few places. The first stop was the
Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary, where we could see the little tarsiers in their
habitat. This is a sanctuary where
they protected but they live freely.
This type of tarsier is endemic from the island of Bohol. Look at the pictures, these guys are
adorable! It is worth mentioning
that getting to the sanctuary we ran into heavy rain and got completely wet, we
even had to stop for a while because it was difficult to drive with the heavy
rain.
We then headed to Habitat Bohol, also known as
the Simply Butterflies Conservation Centre. Here we learned about the different types of endemic
butterflies from Bohol and the program they have to conserve them.
Our last stop for the day was the Chocolate
Hills. These beautiful rock
formations are covered by vegetation that turns chocolate in colour during the
dry season, therefore their name.
There are 1268 mountains in an area that comprises the towns of Carmen,
Batuan and Sagbayan.
After riding 156Km around the island of Bohol we
came back to the hotel for a well deserved night of good sleep.

ReplyDeleteOtro sitio espectacular. Ya me queda difícil decir cual es mas bonito, todos se merecen la máxima calificación. Los paisajes, el mar, las playas, la fauna marina, todo todo . Y esos animalitos tan espectaculares que no tienen sino ojos, son una bellecita. y son bravos?? muerden?? o pellizcan con esos dedos tan largos y huesudos......
