Our backpacking trip: Julio 3 / July 3

Hay un barco que sale hoy para Muang Khua, así que tuvimos que acortar nuestra visita a Nong Khiaw. Si no tomamos este barco no sabemos cuando pueda haber otro y la visa se nos va a acabar. Siempre está la opción del bús pero la carretera no es tan agradable, así que vamos a aprovechar el barco y sacarle el cuerpo al bus.

Embarcamos a las 11:00am con otros turistas y gente local. Todos los turistas van a Muang Ngoy Neua un pequeño pueblo a lo largo del río Ou. El viaje es largo y el barco es muy incómodo, sin embargo, el paisaje es muy agradable. Comenzó a llover 2 horas antes de llegar a Muang Khua y el recorrido se hizo muy cansón. Debimos haber cogido el bus! Llegamos a eso de las 6:00pm, comimos y nos fuimos para el hotel. Despues de registrarnos fuimos a buscar información sobre el bus a Vietnam.

We found a boat leaving today for Muang Khua, so we had to cut short our visit to Nong Khiaw. If we do not take this boat we could be waiting for another one for a couple of days and our visa will expire. There is always the bus option but the road is not that pleasant so we are taking advantage of the boat trip.

We boarded the boat at 11:00am with several other tourists and local people. All of the tourists are going to Muang Ngoy Neua a small village along the Ou River. The trip is long and the boat is very uncomfortable, however the scenery is very nice. It started raining around 2 hours before we arrived in Muang Khua. We arrived around 6:00pm, had dinner and went to the hotel we are staying. We checked in and went to get some information about the bus that will take us to Vietnam. Looking back we should have taken the bus!
