El 16 de julio,
tomamos un bus de Pac Ngoi a Pho Thong y luego de Pho Thong a Cao Bang.
Llegamos a Cao Bang a la 1:00 pm. Durante el viaje muchas personas y paquetes
se movieron de un lado a otro, en un momento no había más espacio en la parte
trasera para la mochila de Marcela, por lo que el ayudante del bus la movió
para adelante. Cuando llegamos a Cao Bang y sacamos la mochila de Carlos nos
dimos cuenta de que estaba toda mojada, pero la mayor decepción fue cuando nos
dimos cuenta de que no era agua sino sangre de cerdo, junto con la mochila de
Carlos habían 3 sacos llenos de patas de cerdo que estaban chorreando sangre.
No quiero ni siquiera mencionar la rabia que nos dio, pero no había mucho que
hacer, así que nos fuimos para el hotel a hacer una gran limpieza. Por la tarde
fuimos a pasear por la ciudad, pero no hay nada emocionante que hacer.
En la mañana del
17 de julio cogimos un bus de Cao Bang a las cascadas de Ban Gioc. Estas
cascadas están justo en la frontera con China, y son compartidas entre los dos
países, Vietnam y China. El viaje en bus duró dos horas y media. El paisaje es
impresionante, karsts de muchas formas y campos de arroz crean un paisaje
divino.
Llegamos como a
las 11:00am a las Cataratas. Decidimos ver las cataratas de la montaña cercana
antes de verlas desde abajo. Caminamos al templo budista en la montaña en
frente de las cataratas. El camino no es difícil, pero hay varias escalas para
llegar y había una sección muy lisa que había que subir con cuidado. Finalmente
llegamos al templo y aunque se estaban formando unas nubes la vista fue increíble!
Justo antes de que empezara a llover, subí a una plataforma más alta mientras
Marcela me esperaba en el templo. La vista desde la cima de la montaña habría
sido simplemente espectacular si no fuera por las nubes que taparon la mayoría
de las montañas.
Después bajamos
para ver las cataratas desde cerca; nos subimos en una balsa de bambú que nos
llevó hasta muy cerca de la caída del agua. Fue un largo viaje para llegar a
este lugar, pero vale mucho la pena! Realmente disfrutamos de la experiencia y
no dudaría en recomendársela a cualquiera que le guste la naturaleza.
Regresamos a Cao Bang a las 5:30 pm.
Por la noche
cogimos un bus con camas para ir a Hanoi.

On July 16th,
we took a bus from Pac Ngoi to Pho Thong and then from Pho Thong to Cao
Bang. We arrived in Cao Bang at
1:00pm. During the bus journey a
lot of people and parcels were moved around the bus, at one point there was no
more space at the back for Marcela's backpack, so the bus helper brought it to
the front. When we arrived in Cao Bang, and got Carlos’s backpack from the back
we noticed that it was all wet, but the biggest disappointment happened when we
realised the it was not just water but pigs blood, along with Carlos’ backpack
there were 3 sacks full of pigs legs that were dripping blood. I don’t want to
even mention has angry I go about the incident, but there was not much that
could be done, so we went to the hotel for a big clean up. In the afternoon we
went for a walk around town, but there is nothing exciting to do.
In the morning
of July 17th we took a bus from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc
Waterfalls. These waterfalls are
right in the border with China, they are actually shared between Vietnam and
China. The bus ride took two and a
half hours. The scenery is
breathtaking, karsts of many different shapes and rice fields paint a beautiful
landscape in this area.
We arrived
shortly after 11:00am at Ban Gioc Waterfalls. We decided to view the falls from the nearby mountain before
seeing them from below. We headed
to the Buddhist Temple in the mountain in front of the falls. Climbing is not difficult but there are
several steps to get there, also there is a very slippery section that needed
extra care. We finally got to the
temple and although there was a storm approaching the view was incredible! Just before it started raining I headed
up the mountain while Marcela waited by the temple. The view from the top of the mountain would have been just
spectacular if it wasn’t for the clouds that covered most of the
mountains.
We headed back
down and went to see the falls; we embarked on a bamboo raft that took us up
close to the action. It was a long
journey to visit this place, but well worth it! We really enjoyed the experience and would not hesitate to
recommend it to anybody that loves nature. We headed back to Cao Bang at 5:30pm.
In the evening
we took the sleeping bus to Hanoi.

ReplyDeleteBuena caminada, bonitos paisajes, espectaculares cascadas....y por fin lo mejor, un bus con "buenas" camas para un merecido descanso. Lastima lo de la sangre de cerdo en la mochila de Carlos, pero bueno todo es parte del paseo. Y una que otra maluca experiencia tambien es buena....jaja
