Hoy salimos
para un tour de dos dias donde visitaremos algunos de los pueblos mas
importantes del valle de Kathmandu.
Tambien visitaremos un pueblo localizado en las montañas de donde
podremos, si el clima coopera, tener una buena vista de los Himalayas.
El primer pueblo
que visitamos fue Boudha, donde se encuentra la stupa mas grande de Nepal. Luego estuvimos en Sankhu donde
visitamos un templo Hindu, pero muy diferente a los templos en India. Siendo la misma religion, quedamos
asombrados de lo diferente que es la arquitectura de los templos, pero mas aun
la manera como se hacen las ofrendas y las oraciones.
Luego
caminamos unos 10Km hasta Nagarkot.
La caminada fue muy bonita, pasamos por varios caserios donde pudimos
ver como vive la gente. En varios
lugares los niños y jovenes nos preguntaban de donde eramos y cuando
respondiamos que de Colombia, nos decian “Falcao, Falcao”; parece que ven mucho
futbol y les gusta. Todas las casas
tienen el concepto de casa/finca, donde tienen cabras en la parte de adelante o
atras de la casa, tienen un buffalo en una pieza de la casa y tienen gallinas y
pollos por ahi corriendo. Una cosa
que nos llamo mucho la atencion fue que pasamos por una de estas casas, habia
una viejita sentada en la puerta y estabamos admirando el concepto de
casa/finca; cuando oimos la musica que estaban escuchando dentro de la casa era
Cold Play… increible hasta donde llega este tipo de musica.
Llegamos a
Nagarkot por la tarde, nos instalamos en el hotel, comimos y nos acostamos.

Today we
left on a two day tour around the Kathmandu valley. We will also be visiting a town up in the mountains where, if
the weather is good, we will be able to see the Himalayas.
The first town
we visited was Boudha, where the largest stupa in Nepal is located. We then went to Sankhu where we visited
a Hindu temple, however very different to the Hindu temples in India. Being the same religion we were
impressed with how different the architecture of the temples is, but moreover
how the offering and prayers are done.
We then
walked for around 10Km to Nagarkot.
It was a beautiful hike, we went through several small towns where we
could see how people live in this area.
In several places kids and teenagers asked us where we came from and as
soon as we said Colombia they started “Falcao, Falcao”; it seems like they
watch a lot of soccer and they like it.
All the houses are made using the concept house/farm where they have
goats at the front or back of the house, they have a buffalo in a room adjacent
to the house and have chickens running around. One thing that called our attention was a house where there
was an old woman sitting on the front of the house and we were looking at the
house/farm concept and when we heard the music coming from inside the house it
was Cold Play… unbelievable!
We arrived
in Nagarkot late in the afternoon, we settle in the hotel, we had dinner and
went to sleep.

ReplyDeleteAca se ven lugares mas limpios, e insisto el estado físico que han adquirido ustedes es envidiable, pues caminadas de 10 kilómetros, viajes en bus de horas y horas, visitas a templos y mas templos y lucen "tan frescos" que envidia....deben dar muchas gracias a Dios y los ángeles porque durante tantos meses de viaje no les ha "dolido ni una muela" que rico..
