Hoy nos levantamos muy temprano y salimos a caminar por el
lado del rio Ganges y a ver el amanecer.
La experiencia es totalmente diferente a ir en el bote. Se ve mucho mas de cerca la gente
haciendo sus rituales y bañandose en el rio. Los Sadhus (hombres religiosos) hacen sus oraciones muy
temprano en la mañana, todos estan a la orilla del Ganges rezando y haciendo
sus ofrendas. A muchos no les
importa que se les tomen fotos, otros piden contribucion y otros no quieren que
se les tomen fotos.
En la tarde estuvimos en Blue Lassi tomandonos el mejor
lassi de Varanasi. Este lugar es
bastante popular, se mantiene lleno de gente. El lassi es un yogurt con frutas muy delicioso y la verdad
si es el mejor que hemos probado. Alli
estuvimos mas o menos 45 minutos y mientras nos servian y tomabamos el lassi
pasaron con mas o menos 10 muertos hacia el lugar de cremacion.
En la tarde tomamos una taxicleta que nos llevara a la
estacion del tren. El recorrido es
muy entretenido, el trafico es un caos total y se ve uno chocado varias veces
pero llegamos muy bien a la estacion.

We woke up early in the morning and went for a walk around
the Ganges river and see the sunrise.
The experience is totally different than on the boat. We could see the people up close doing
their rituals and taking a bath in the river. The Sadhus (Holy men) pray very early in the morning, all of
them are next to the Ganges shore praying and making their offerings. Some of them do not mind us taking
pictures, some ask for contributions and some do not want their picture taken.
In the afternoon we went to Blue Lassi having the best lassi
of Varanasi. This place is very
popular because it is featured in the Lonely Planet, and it is always full of
people. Lassi is a yogourt with
fruits and this one is really the best one we have tasted. We stayed at Blue Lassi for around 45
minutes while we ordered, got served and drank the lassi and during this time
we saw around 10 bodies come by to the cremation place.
Late in the afternoon we took a bicycle taxi to go to the
train station. It was very
entertaining, the local traffic is a complete caos and you could see yourself
killed several times but we made it okay to the station.
