Our backpacking trip: Diciembre 18 / December 18

Pasamos la mañana en la playa Piha y comenzamos a manejar hacia Auckland a eso de las 11:00am.

Nos encontramos con las nuevas dueñas de “Lucy” y ellas muy queridas nos llevaron al aeropuerto. Fue muy triste ver a “Lucy” irse con otros dueños. Esperamos que la cuiden y que “Lucy” las lleve a donde ellas quieran ir sin problemas.

En el aeropuerto tuvimos que reempacar las maletas para que todas pesaran exactamente 23Kg. Estaban muy estrictos con el peso asi que pasamos un buen rato moviendo cosas y pesandolas antes de hacer el check-in.

Estamos listos para volar a nuestro proximo destino… Australia aqui vamos!

We spent the morning in Piha Beach and started driving to Auckland around 11:00am.

We met “Lucy’s” new owners and they were kind enough to drop us at the airport. It was very sad witnessing “Lucy” drive away with her new owners. We hope they take good care of her and “Lucy” takes them everywhere they want to go without major issues.

At the airport we had to do some repacking as we did not meet the weight limit in our bags, some were lighter and one heavier. They were very strict on the 23Kg limit so we had to spend a lot of time by the scale making sure everything was perfect before checking-in.

We are now all set to fly to our next destination… Australia here we come!
