Our backpacking trip: Diciembre 12 / December 12

En la mañana fuimos por segunda vez a la playa de agua caliente. Habiamos chequeado la marea y llegamos a la hora recomendada, rentamos la pala y llegamos a la playa. Empezamos a cavar el hueco buscando el agua caliente pero no la pudimos encontrar, es my frustrante. Solo teníamos un ultimo recurso, esperar a que alguien abandonara una de las piscinas ya echas y tomar posesion… bueno, eso fue lo que hicimos! Nos toco una buena, no la mejor pero le hicimos unas modificaciones y le llegaba agua caliente. Después tomamos posesión de una seguna piscina con agua mas caliente.

En la tarde fuimos a hacer una caminada de 45 minutos a las Cuevas Catedral. Marcela durmió mientras yo tomaba fotos. Estuvimos un par de horas disfrutando de este bonito paisaje.

In the morning we went for our second attempt to the hot water beach. We checked the tide and got there at the recommended time, we rented the shovel and head to the beach. We started digging trying to get hot water but could not find it, it is very frustrating. We only had one resource left, wait for somebody to abandon their pool and take over… well, that’s what we did! We got a nice one, not the greatest but we made improvements to it and got a bit of hot water. We later took over a second one with much hotter water.

In the afternoon we went on a 45 minute walk to reach the Cathedral Cove. Marcela slept while I took some pictures. We were there for a few hours enjoying this beautiful landscape.
