Julio 2 / July 2

El 2 de Julio tomamos una minivan con Julian y Gretske a Nong Khiaw.  Salimos de Luang Namtha a las 9:00 am y llegamos a Nong Khiaw a las 2:30 pm.

Este es un pueblo muy tranquilo y con alojamiento barato al lado de el río.

Después del almuerzo nos fuimos a uno de los miradores.  La caminada es dura, pero nada fuera de nuestro alcance.  Nos tomó alrededor de una hora llegar a la cima, la vista es increíble como pueden ver en las fotos.

Nos demoramos un poco en la bajada porque ya se estaba oscureciendo, al punto que cuando llegamos al pueblo ya no se veía nada en las partes donde no había alumbrado público.

On July 2 we took a minivan with Julian and Gretske to Nong Khiaw.  We left Luang Namtha at 9:00am and arrived in Nong Khiaw at 2:30pm.

This is a laid back town, very quiet with cheap and great accommodation by the river.

After lunch we went for a hike to one of the lookouts in town.  The hike is demanding but nothing we could not accomplish.  It took us about an hour to reach the summit but it was well worth it.  The view is amazing, judge by the pictures.

We took a bit longer to come down so it was getting pretty dark by the time we reached the bottom of the mountain.
