Hoy fuimos
caminando a la cascada Mor Paeng, que quedan como a 8Kms de Pai. Caminamos un rato y estuvimos haciendo
auto stop pero nadie nos recogio.
Seguimos caminando y mas adelante nos recogieron unos muchachos y nos
llevaron hasta un lugar cerca, claro que tuvimos que caminar otros 3Kms mas o
menos. Llegamos a la cascada y es
un lugar agradable y bonito pero nada del otro mundo la verdad. Nos metimos al agua un rato para
refrescarnos.
La caminada
de regreso estuvo mucho mas interesante, jugamos con niños que se nos
acercaban, hablamos con la gente de la region, vimos a una señora haciendo
“tejas” de hojas de arbol y bamboo y tomamos fotos de la gente de la
region. Cabe aclarar que a este
lugar no llega mucha gente caminando, todo el mundo alquila moto o consigue un
taxi para llegar a las cascadas… asi que la gente de la region no interactua
mucho con los turistas.
De regreso
en Pai estuvimos viendo un sofisticado systema de riego de plantas, miren las
fotos para que vean que bonito.

Today we
walked to Mor Paeng waterfalls located 8Km from Pai. We walked for a while and tried to hitchhike but did not get
picked up. We continued walking
and later we were picked up by a couple of guys that drove us to the Chinese
Village but we were still 3Km away.
We arrived at the waterfalls; it is a nice place but nothing like they
promote it in town. We went in the
water to cool down.
Walking
back to town was more interesting, we played with kids that came out of their
houses, we talked to people of the region, we saw a lady making “shingles” from
tree leaves and bamboo and we took some pictures of the local people. It is worth to mention that not a lot
of people come to the waterfalls on foot, everybody rents a scooter or pay for
a taxi to take them here… so the locals do not get too much interaction with
the tourists.
In Pai we
looked at a very sophisticated irrigation system, take a look at the pictures.

Que delicia de baño, después de una larga caminada y una tremenda sudada.
ReplyDeleteQue habilidad la de la señora para hacer las tejas con hojas y bamboo, definitivamente el bamboo es una planta muy noble que sirve para todo y se deja trabajar muy rico.
