Hoy nos levantamos temprano para salir rumbo a Jaffna, una
ciudad en la parte norte este de la isla que estuvo bajo el poder del grupo
separatista LTTE por mas de 30 años.
El gobierno vencio al grupo LTTE el 17 de Mayo de 2009 y recobro
soberania en este territorio.
Ahora es possible viajar a esta zona del pais y aunque todavia hay un
control a la entrada de este territorio, es mas por seguridad de los viajeros
que por cualquier otra cosa.
Despues de un largo dia de viaje llegamos a Jaffna donde
pasamos la noche.

Today we woke up early to go to Jaffna, a city in the noreast
part of the island that was under control of the separatist group LTTE for more
than 30 years. The goverment defeated
the LTTE group on May 17, 2009 and regained control of this region. Now it is possible to travel in this
area and even though there is still a control point to get into this region, it
is more for the safety of the travellers than anything else.
After a long day we arrived in Jaffna where we are spending
the night.
