Dia 131 / Day 131 - November 10/2012

Today we visited several squares and historic sites of Rome.  The first stop was the Popolo Square, then we sent to Spain Square.  Later we visited Trevi’s Fountain, where the leyend says that the 3 fountains were built where the apostole Paul’s head bounced after he was decapitated; this is difficult to believe because the fountains are like 6 meters apart from eachother…

In the afternoon we visted the Pantheon – Basilica Santa Maria ad Martyres.  Later we went to Navona Square where lots of artists are painting and selling their paintings.  There is also a big fountain in the middle of the square.  We went to Museum and gallery Borghese.  We also went to Venice Square, visited San Marco’s Basilica and passed by other roman ruins that are still under excavation.

In the evening we went for dinner to Maria’s place, a couch surfer that could not host us but invited us for dinner.  Maria is a very nice lady, dinner was delicious… risotto al fungi (risotto with mashrooms), salad, chicken filled with vegetables and desert was an Italian fruit called “caco” and baked apple with cinnamon.  Everything was amazing!... Thanks Maria for the invitation.
