Our backpacking trip: Noviembre 21 / November 21

Hoy salimos de Wanaka hacia la costa Oeste de Nueva Zelanda. Tomamos la autopista 6 de Wanaka a Haast. Recuerdan que dije que la manejada de Queenstown a Glenorchy es una de las mas bonitas que hemos hecho?... bueno, esta esta por esos lados tambien. La vista de las montañas, el lago, etc la hacen bastante especial.

En el camino paramos en las piscinas azules, un lugar donde el rio crea unas piscinas de color azul intenso. Alli estuvimos un rato viendo unos locos tirarse desde el puente a un agua que esta bastante fria. Unos tenian buen estilo para saltar y los otros no mucho...

Today we left Wanaka towards the West Coast. We took Highway 6 from Wanaka to Haast. Remembered that I mentioned that the drive from Queenstown to Glenorchy was one of the most beautiful we have driven?... well, this drive is up there. The views of the mountains, the lake, etc make this drive very special.

On the way we stopped at the blue pools, a place where the river makes beautiful blue coloured pools. We were watching a couple of guys jump off the bridge to a freezing cold water. Some had good diving style and others not so much...
