Salimos para Venezia.
Tomamos un tren rapido, pero no tanto como el de Alemania, este
solamente alcanza una velocidad maxima de 260Km/h. Llegamos a Mestre, cerca a Venecia, en la tarde. Nos instalamos en el apartamento de
Fernando, donde nos vamos a quedar por los proximos dias y luego nos fuimos para
Venecia. Estuvimos caminando por
la ciudad y conociendo lo que mas pudimos.
Venecia es un lugar encantado, con los canales, los puentes,
las calles peatonales estrechas y las casas antiguas. El transito en Venecia es estrictamente fluvial, los carros,
bicicletas y motos no tienen cabida en la ciudad. La gente se moviliza en bote privado, caminando o en el
transporte publico que se llama “waterbus” que es la ruta de barcos de la
ciudad. El caos fluvial es
tremendo, los “water taxi” son iguales que en cualquier ciudad, se podran
imaginar!

We went to Venice.
We got a fast train, not as fast as the German one, this one only gets
up to 260Km/h. We got to Mestre in
the afternoon. We went to
Fernando’s place, where we are going to stay for the next few days and then
went to Venice. We walked around
the city and saw as much as we could.
Venice is a beautiful place, with the canals, the bridges,
the small pedestrian streets and the old houses. The transit in Venice is only through water, cars, bicycles
and motorcycles cannot get to the city.
People go around by private boat, by foot or by public transport called
“waterbus”. The caos around the
canal is a lot of fun to see with the water taxis also involved in the mix.
