Dia 169 / Day 169 - December 18/2012

Hoy salimos en el primer ferry para Turquia.  Despues de 1 hora y media de ferry llegamos a un pueblo llamado Dikili.  En Dikili tomamos un bus que nos llevo a Izmir, de alli llegamos a la casa de Sema, la couch surfer que nos va a hospedar por las proximas noches.  Llegamos a la casa de Sema y no estaba, asi que nos recibio Serefnur, la mama.  Que señora tan encantadora, pero no habla nada de ingles, pero eso no fue impedimento para hablar, hablar y hablar… no paro de hablarnos en turco toda la tarde y de darnos comida hasta que nos acostamos.

Today we left in the first ferry for Turkey.  After 1 hour and a half we arrived in Dikili.  In Dikili we took the bus to Izmir, where we took local transport to arrive at Sema’s house, the couch surfer that will host us for the next couple of nights.  When we arrived at Sema’s house, she was not there, but we were greeted by Serefnur, Sema’s mom.  Serefnur is a lovely lady, she does not speak a word of English, but that did not stop her from talking, talking and talking… she did not stop talking in Turkish and giving us food until we went to bed.
