Our backpacking trip: Dia 46 / Day 46

Salimos de Edimburgo en la mañana a visitar varios castillos en el area. Visitamos Linlithgow Palace, un lugar incredible. Caminamos por todo el castillo adentro y afuera. Los voluntarios del colegio del pueblo nos dieron un tour del castillo, super bueno.

Despues fuimos al Castillo de Stirling y Argyll’s Lodge. Los dos son unos lugares muy bonitos y llenos de historia.

Finalmente visitamos el Castillo Doune. Lo pudimos ver solamente por fuera, pero es un lugar magnifico.

Encontramos un lugar para acampar al lado del rio, super bonito, pero lleno de mosquitos. Casi no nos dejan ni armar la carpa, nos estaban comiendo, se metian en todas partes, en los oidos, nariz, y hasta nos comimos un par!

We left Edinburgh in the morning to explore several castles in the area. We visited Linlithgow Palace, this is a beautiful place. We could walk around the whole castle and explore all inside. We also got a guided tour provided by high school volunteers, very nice.

We then went to Stirling Castle and Argyll’s Lodge. Both of them also beautiful places, being Stirling Castle a place with lots of history. Finally, we visited Doune Castle. Having seen it only on the outside, this place is magnificent.

We found a place to camp along the river, a beautiful place, but invaded with midges. We had a hard time setting up our tent, midges were eating us alive, going into our ears, nose, face; they were everywhere.
