Dia 338 / Day 338 - June 5/2013

Y continuamos siendo super afortunados con couch surfing.  La casa-finca donde nos estamos hospedando es espectacular.  Nos están hospedando Rebecca y Jerry, una paraja de Estados Unidos que vive en Nueva Zelanda hace mas de 20 años.  Estamos quedandonos en una cabaña independiente, con nuestra propia cocina, baño y chimenea.

La casa-finca queda bastante lejos de Christchurch, unos 20 minutos en carro.

Our couch surfing experience keeps getting better.  We are staying in a farm outside the city.  Our hosts are Rebecca and Jerry, a couple from the USA that has been living in New Zealand for more than 20 years.  We are staying in a separate cabin with our own kitchen, bathroon and fireplace.

The farm is around 20 minutes drive from Christchurch.

Dia 337 / Day 337 - June 4/2013

La conexion en Auckland fue bastante apretada, llegamos a las 4:15pm y el otro vuelo sale a las 5:30pm.  Mientras hicimos immigracion y nos inspeccionaron la carpa para asegurarse que no estabamos entrando ningun organismo que fuera a contaminar la isla, casi perdemos el vuelo a Christchurch.  Teniamos que tomar un bus para llegar a la terminal regional y perdimos el de las 4:45pm, nos toco esperar el de las 5:00pm.  Llegamos a la terminal regional a las 5:10pm, inmediatamente preguntamos donde podiamos obtener el pasabordo y los empleados de Air New Zealand muy amables nos ayudaron a aforar las maletas y obtener el pasabordo muy rapido.  Nos toco correr pero llegamos a la puerta con tiempo de abordar.

Rebecca, la couch surfer donde nos vamos a quedar por los proximos dias nos estaba esperando en el aeropuerto.

It was a very tight conection in Auckland, we arrived at 4:15pm and our flight leaves at 5:30pm.  While we went through immigration and luggage inspection, especially our tent was inspected for bugs to make sure we were not bringing something that will contaminate the island; we almost lost our flight to Christchurch.  We had to take a bus to go to the regional terminal but we missed the 4:45pm so we had to wait for the one at 5:00pm.  We arrived at the regional terminal at 5:10pm, we asked right away where we could check-in and the Air New Zealand employees were very hepful and helped us to check-in our bags and get our boarding passes right away.  We ran to the gate and arrived just in time for boarding.

Hoy es nuestro ultimo dia en Tailandia.  Salimos a las 6:55pm del aeropuerto Suvarnabhumi en Bangkok rumbo a Christchurch en Nueva Zelanda.  El vuelo va primero a Guangzhou en China y luego a Aukland en Nueva Zelanda.  Finalmente llegaremos a Christchurch el 4 de Junio a las 6:50pm.

Today is our last day in Thailand.  We will be leaving at 6:55pm from Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok for Christchurch in New Zealand.  The flight will stop in Guangzhou, China and then in Aukland, New Zealand.  We will finally make it to Christchurch on June 4 at 6:55pm.

Dia 335 / Day 335 - June 2/2013

Hoy nos fuimos de compras, pues la ropa que tenemos no nos va a servir en Nueva Zelanda, necesitamos al menos un par de blue jeans y un sweater para soportar el frio del invierno.  Estuvimos en varios centros comerciales y se encuentra mucha cosa… lo mas curioso del dia fue el vestier portatil que le entregaron a Marcela cuando pidio medirse un pantalon.  Basicamente le entregaron una falda grande para que se cubriera… yo no podia de la risa!  Casi ninguno de los almacenes tenia vestier, de hecho a mi me toco desfilar en pantaloncillos por todo un almacen para medirme un par de blue jeans.

Al fin del dia terminamos encontrando muy buenas cosas y a unos precios super buenos, con decir que los blue jeans que yo compre me costaron 250 baths, el equivalente a 8 dólares.

Today we went shopping for some things we will be needing in New Zealand, we need at least a pair of jeans and a sweater to survive the cold weather in New Zealand.  We went to several malls and there are many interesting things to see, however the most fascinating thing was that not many stores had change rooms, so they will improvise with the racks while the sales person would look at you… the best was the portable change room they gave Marcela when she asked if she could try a pair of pants.  Basically the lady gave her a big skirt to cover herself… I could not stop laughing!  I had to show it all off at a store to try a pair of jeans.

At the end we found everything we were looking for at very good prices, the jeans I bought cost 250 baths, the equivalent to 8 bucks.

Dia 334 / Day 334 - June 1/2013

Hoy es nuestro ultimo dia en Koh Tao, salimos en el ferry de las 2:30pm de regreso a Bangkok.  Realmente disfrutamos mucho de estas vacaciones dentro del paseo, la isla tiene lugares encantadores y un mar para envidia de muchos.

Toda la mañana estuvimos en la playa disfrutando al maximo de los ultimos minutos en este paraiso.

El recorrido de regreso es largo; primero casi 2 horas en ferry y luego 7 horas en bus desde Chumphon a Bangkok, estaremos llegando a media noche.

Today is our last day in Koh Tao, we will be leaving in the 2:30pm ferry to Bangkok.  We really enjoyed a lot our holidays within the trip, the island has beautiful places to visit and waters to make everybody jealous.

We spent the morning by the beach and enjoying it up to the last minute.

The trip back to Bangkok is going to be long; first we will be an almost 2 hours ferry ride, then 7 hours from Chumphon to Bangkok, we will be arriving at midnight.
