Marzo 7 - 10 / March 7 - 10

Ahora continuamos hacias Melbourne.

Upon arrival in Adelaide we found out that the Fringe Festival is goin on.  This is the second largest Fringe Festival in the world after the one in Edinburgh.  This was a good surprise for us because we really enjoy buskers, circus, stand-up comedy and street art.

On March 7 we went to Adelaide’s City centre, visited the South Australia Museum and went to Cirque Africa, a very nice acrobatic circus.

On March 8 we went to the Central Market… you got to love markets and we really do!  We bought cheese, salami, more cheese… love it!

In the evening we scored free tickets for a circus show performed by local young artists and went to a stan-up comedy show performed by an Aussie that had spent 1 year traveling around South America so the comedy was about the idiosyncrasy of the region.  It was good to hear somebody else’s perspective when they travel in South America.

On March 9 we spent a couple of hours visiting Adelaide’s beach.  We went to Glenelg.  Unfortunately our visit to Adelaide was very short as we have to continue our trip, but so far it is one of our favourite cities in Australia.

We are now heading back to Malbourne.  On the way we stopped at Mount Gambier to see the Blue Lake.  This lake was created by a volcanic eruption of one of the youngest volcanos in Australia.

We spent the night in Yambuk, we went for dinner to the one and only bar in town where we met some of the locals and had a very good conversation.

On our way to Melbourne we stopped at The Crags Coastal Reserve, a very nice rock formation by the sea.
